I find the moto bags to be high quality and like that they lock to the bike. They are a little on the heavy side but guess they need to be, to be strong and durable

Super content , très bonne qualité

This bag is amazing.

These bags are amazing aesthetically and quality wise. Best purchase I've made for my bike

After days of researching Hard and Soft Pannier options I think LR was the perfect choice.
The Bags arrived quickly!
The required modification to fit my Racks was reasonable. The Parts and Tools supplied were high quality. The supplied directions for the mod's were difficult to follow, so your YouTube video was really helpful.
I would suggest that a Tamper Proof Bit be included in future tools that you supply. That Bit would have made the entire mod move from several hours to a single houre per bag.
The bags fit well and look excellent!
Thanks again for a fine product
Peter

Unfortunately I don't enjoy the lofty status of the many YouTubers out there who have the luxury of benchmarking their luggage against other offerings, but I can at least claim impartiality with my review. I do a feel a little "corporate" as I also use the Overlander bag (terrific) and the LR ADV tent (also, terrific).
Overall - very happy with the panniers. The build quality is excellent and after a 4000k break in ride in pretty diverse weather, I can vouch for their dust and water proof claim.
Subjectively, the bags "felt" heavier than what I expected. Not a criticism, but I think I underestimated the nett weight of these bags. I also did a fair bit of fine tuning of the mounts to get them to fit my racking system (2018 GS) - that's definitely NOT a criticism; the ability to move brackets and bumpers around to get a perfect mount was a plus (I only needed to drill one hole, even with all of the provisioned slides and fixture options).
The locking catch plates on the roll tops took a little getting used to but I found that some mutton grease around the locating pin aided the process.
On the subject of the locks, the padlocks are a throwaway item. Nice to get. Rubbish to use. Do yourself a favour and invest in a better quality lock!
I chose to do away with the red liner bags and instead ran with a series of individual dry bags as I found that easier to manage, but that is definitely a personal choice. Oh, and the irony of the red liners is that they "make finding items in the bag easier", except if you use the LR pack sacks which are of course, also red!
Finally, and I think this may have been mentioned from a few other reviewers, in hindsight I would run with a slightly smaller pannier option. Not too sure what the literage reduction would be, but 25mm off the widths of both bags would pull some of the heft out of the overall width and still leave plenty of carrying capacity, particularly with such an array of molle addons available.
Adam H.
Incredibly tough and versatile bags. Super happy I bought them. Took a spill on some really rocky terrain and they didn't even scuff. I don't even use my aluminum bags anymore.
Herb B.
Switching from mosko to moto bags. I Like the rigidity and larger size of.the moto bags, closure is fine.
I Mounted on my out back mototech racks. I found the mounting system to be very finicky/darn near impossible to get adjusted perfectly, the mosko mounting plate is much better and not finicky to instal or use. Have limited use at.this time but I do like the look of moto bags better than the outback bags.
SOWMYA K.
The bags are impressively robust, showcasing exceptional strength and high-quality craftsmanship. I'm thoroughly pleased with the product thus far, especially appreciating the swift replacement of the initial defective bag. Attaching them to my original pannier rods was a breeze. The only minor concern is the gradual fading of the locks' color. Overall, very satisfied.
Ruben C.
Excellent quality and looks incredible on any bike.
They offer security for those who want to venture out more and allow you to store more accessories
Daniel G.
Super proud to have these bags on my bike. Very impressed with the quality.
Marc R.
I like the product. It's very well made. I wish there was a slighly smaller option on the bags. But the build quality is top notch.
Kurtis K.
The bag sticks out away from the bike on the right side if you are facing the bike from the rear. I was forced to travel between lanes on a Mexican freeway for over an hour while all traffic was at a standstill. A large truck bumper was raw metal with ragged edge, Caught the bag and tore it and bent the frame for the bag. I had no such issues with the left side while Lane splitting. BTW traffic was stopped for 7 hours. I was able to catch an alternately route on my GPS.

Jonathan B.
I have only used these panniers for one trip (250 miles) so far, but they performed great. Highly recommended.
Darren P.
The use and packing of this bag is great loved. However the fitment of this as per what is written on your website is very subpar. Your website in a number of places says out of the box no adjustment they fit a GSA1250 and I'm sorry they do not. I was sent a second backing plate and it was the same. In the end I had to reposition the top locking bracket into a non GSA location. I had to re drill and locate the back and forth plastic supports and also re-position the lower locating plastic mounts for it to fit and have no movement. In the end I think you do have a problem with the bracket and the information you provide. I have a friend that has had the same problem.
James G.
Firstly they looked amazing!
They fit to the bike very easily and are nice and waterproof.
Only minor point is fixing the looking plates together for the padlock.
Highly recommend them.
Diego T.
Very nice bags, the only bad thing from me is I did spend couples of hours trying to fit them on my Triumph Tiger 900, it would be much better if they come ready to go.
hirotaka m.
I bought a 31+38 moto bag for my R1250GSA and installed it and drove at high speeds without any problems. Even when I ran in the rain, the items inside didn't get wet and the storage capacity was perfect. , and the design is cool, so I have recommended this product to my friends.
Johanne C.
Very good guarantee. I have thé bad fir 2 years and travelled 5 months and use thé bacs everyday. One day the strap rip, I send picture of the rip and 3 days later I received a new bag. Also a plastic lock broke and 2 days later I received a new one. No worries there products are very strong and if a badluck happen they replace immediately.
John S.
Best bags on the market. Modular, tough, good looking, spacious. What else could you want? Highly recommend!

The Lone Rider has a cool design and is unique, so I made the right decision to purchase it!
I would like to continue to increase the number of Lone Rider items.

Product quality is outstanding.

I’ve never had panniers before and wanted to test them for a while before reviewing. I’ve had them on the bike for over 6k miles. From MN, rode down through TN and back. A short run up to cabin country and then a longer 2 week trip out to SF in August that took me through the Dakotas, Montana, Nevada up through Oregon, Northern Idaho and back home. 101 degrees to 35, a few hrs of rain rides and several days of comfy 72 degrees. There is no such thing as a perfect motorbike and guessing no perfect luggage but my GSA and these LR panniers are pretty darn close. The only troubles I had with the bags were with the offset backplate involved with/in shipping and Lone Rider responded relatively quick and sent out a new offset mount quickly and resolved that. My only troubles during the summer trips was with the locks that accompany the bags. They look good and feel fair quality but both failed on my short run up north. One would not unlock and the other would not lock or reset. Both on the same day. Good timing in that way. Bolt cutter for one and the other set aside. First world problem as they say and possibly operator error, no matter, locks are one of the few things whose price hasn’t changed much. This didn’t take away from my opinion of the bags or the company. It’s a lock. These bags seem tough, definitely water proof, found that out following Hurricane Hillary s remnants up the coast. Several areas to expand with connection points and adjustable internally. Very little wind drag noticed in the mountain areas or the plains. Perfect bag physically and visually for the GSA. Only time will tell the resiliency of the material but from what I’ve seen, they should withstand many years.
6000 miles and still happy

I just added a set of saddle bags to my 23 BMW R1250GSA and the fit and finish is impressive. They take a little bit of adjustment which is easy. Look like a factory bag and provide tons of flexibility.
Emilian D.
These bags are amazing!!! Love them all!!!
Sebastian P.
More than happy. The bags arrived no problem to Colombia. They fitted as expected right from the box.
So far only one trip using them. We had some rain, mud, some gravel roads and they hold up really good.
No complains. Just want to use them more!
Michael Rotterdam
After spending 4 weeks now in Norway with my LoneRider gear, I really need to say that it worked out perfectly and it fulfilled all my needs!
jim k.
I'm happy i chose these soft bags. My bike has already been on it's side with no damage to the bags. I love the locking option. I feel secure and don't wooy when I'm in the gym that someone can easily take my gear
Mike B.
Just got back from a 4000km trip with my new bags and I couldn't be happier. They performed well in rain, dirt, heat and a couple of drops. Easy packing, durable and good looking. What else could you want?
Olivier S.
Just back from a 2.700 km roadtrip in the Alps in camping mode on my roadster BMW R1250R fitted with one MotorBag and an Overlander. Extremely happy with them, great quality and huge storage space. All my stuff was easily accessible and very well protected.
Terry T.
Have only limited use of the bags but really like the bags so far. Fit right on to my GSA 1200 racks with no alterations or adjustment needed. Having a hard time latching and unlatching the metal clasps that close the bags. Room for improvement.
Chris B.
I just returned from a three week trip to the arctic using lone rider gear - 31 &38 litre side bags, 6 l small bag, and 30 l over lander bag - see separate review. The gear withstood the conditions well. Through torrential downpours, caked mud, dust, and about 3000ks of oftentimes rough gravel, they came back strong. Never leaked, solid throughout. After a badly sprained ankle on a previous trip where my foot got caught under hard panniers, I went for these still wanting structure to the bags but the ability to give a little if I got caught dragging my foot backwards under the bags again. I think that these are the best if not only option for that and I was really happy knowing the were on the bike. They never shifted a mm and we could cruise at 130 on the highway without problem or any sense that these were less stable than a solid bag as well. Installing them takes a bit of time so be prepared for this. Also, I started out trying to install them on a Givi Outback frame which with some filing back of the spacers on the locking clamps did work, but I ended up changing the frame to the more solid and better suited KTM stock frame which is compatible with touratech bags. This worked much better, but if you find yourself in a similar situation, just buy the touratech frame. It is better spaced to fit with these bags. Getting in and out of these bags takes a bit more effort than the click of a hard box, but you get quicker with this and they soften a bit so that the flaps tuck under easier after a while. They drew a lot of attention on the trip so we’re a good conversation piece with other riders. Overall, I am very happy with the bags. If you are looking for the combo of hard case structure and soft bag safety, and, I anticipate durability, these are absolutely the way to go.
Seungkwon K.
Good. Easy install, tough & soft material, nice design.
It was the best choice for my 1250gs!
Dan K.
LR’s support has been fantastic BTW…you folks are doing it right!
Here are some pics of the abuse the LR bags received while we rode the NEBDR….
They did not come thru unscathed, however they did amazingly well given what we dragged them thru!
Miguel C.
Lone Rider the best for off road and long trips
Eugene F.
Both panniers are great, was a minor issue with one strap which was cracked during transit and LoneRider customer care we’re first class & sent me out a new strap immediately…
V. D.
Very functional product.
What is even more important for me, aftersale support is impeccable.
Joe K.
Fabulous kit. If you're thinking about buying them, do it!
I'm super happy with my purchase and already sold my friend on them. Plus, they are the only soft luggage that is fully lockable.
Gonzalo A.
I am 100% happy
Jean T.
Incroyable produit.
Bien fini, beau, pratique.
10/10!
Kenneth R.
The bags worked out great for our last trip! They were strong enough to support Herbie using them to put his front paws on without sagging out.
My only gripe is the overall weight. Very nice bags and very tough! They are super easy to strap other gear onto in many different ways. No more hard cases for our off road adventures!
ZHANG W.
good products! can't wait to show these to my friends now!
Mike B.
Amazing bags and extremely durable. Best bags I have had yet.
Shawn B.
Easy to install, love the fact I can lock them up and look good on the bike.
JAIR ALEJANDRO P.
Love them, great quality, easy to install and looks amazing, just one concern the big straps got fabrics off on the first ride, i am worry they will be getting off, and the bad thing are the padlocks way under the quality off the bags one of mine got stuck before use it, i have to replace them for a better ones, i have seen the old ones they look better build for the bags. im looking forward for the padlock v3
Travis D.
Installation was a pain, having to remove all the screws just move one one thing.
arthur p.
I should have just purchased these panniers when I bought my 22' GSA. They are so much more forgiving than the aluminum panniers and they give a little so you can fit stuff better. I originally bought my bike with the aluminum luggage set..... And, unfortunately I beat the crap out of them on some off roads adventures. They got bent up and deformed some; didn't close right anymore. Lone Rider panniers are the way to go...
John T.
Can’t say enough good about the bags! I’m a customer for life!
Richard B.

Valery D.
I’ve been using them for months now, and yes they look stunning but over all, they are really functional and well engineered. You do need a bit of practice to get them open and closed but it works from day one and gets faster and faster with time. In combination with the packing sleeves in the dry days and with the addition of the supplied inner bags in the rainy days, all I need fits in those two bags (put the heavy stuff first so the gravity center stay low). If there is one drawback, it in the security aspects if you compare them to solid cases (lockers can be a pain to install sometimes) but let’s be honest, when loaded, no one leaves his motorbike alone right ?! Go get some !
Greg S.
Nearly a full day to remove rigid backings and adjust mount locations to the bike’s factory rack positioning, including grinding away the infamous BMW weld surplus so that the bags’ locking grips can seat.
Don’t expect an immediate out-of-box fit to 2023 GSA 1250 factory racks (my experience) but allow for the time and effort to adjust everything and re-assemble the bags …. The end result is easy on / easy off perfect fit and no worries, exactly as you wanted. Enjoy!
Greg S.
Half a day rejigging the mount locations on the backing plate. Then had to grind the infamous BMW weld blob down. After that, snaps in place and removes in a breeze.
Don’t expect less work when brand new out of the box, but be confident that the initial effort is worthwhile.
Same for the 31 L other side bag.
Ales K.
A little stiff in the beginnen, but it gets softer after some time. Quality is excellent, looks great and very flexible with it's Molle system to add more bags or accessories.
Recommend for long-distance travellers.
Stephane 34 G.
Absolutely nice ! 31+38 L Motobags installed on my Tiger 1200 Rally Explorer allow me a large storage capability for my wife and I but fit well and secure my bike.
Used this 3 days week end riding with 1 rainy day but absolutely no problem for all our stuffs (Clothes and video equipment). I used to keep it for a daily off-road round with light safety equipments inside and to protect bike too and with TailPack instead of Topaze and minbags. Last but not least look is fantastic when all units are installed together.

Well this was my first fall. My mate with hard panniers also fell twenty yards further along, both of the bikes landed on our legs, i came out without a problem, Robbo on the other hand came out with a broken ankle, hard pannier being the culprit. The Lone Rider pannier did exactly what it was designed to do and sprisingly in just pushed back into place, yes i did do some very minor damage, i need to replace the corner protection rubber..wow. Thank you so much guys you saved my ankle..So who ever is reading this which one will you buy? be sensible buy Lone Rider.
luis R.
product is very sturdy and good looking. plenty of storage capacity for all travel gear/gadgets.

The best product
Marijn v.
I have lot's of great Lone Rider bags on my bike. I have been using them now for a 12K mileage, and they absolutely do what they promise! Once I had to let the bike fall over, no damage at all to the bike or the bags whatsoever. I had one issue with one of the motobags, but LoneRider Support fixed this issue for me in a very professional way. I was honestly impressed the way they took it seriously and resolved the issue quickly!

Bags are great esp with more lone rider accessories. These bags hold so much stuff it’s crazy and look great on the bike. Highly recommended
Dalton S.
The storage space and build quality are perfect, matching the GSA wonderfully. I thought I would get tired of opening and closing them properly but it’s always nice having it look neat and tidy. I’m also very clumsy, so having the semi rigid design so I don’t permanently dent or scratch something is a incredibly useful.
Gene W.
JUST INSTALLED BAGS ON THE BIKES ,IT WENT GOOD PUT ONE SET ON A NEWKTM 890 AND THE OTHER SET ON KTM 1290 .WE STILL HAVE A FOOT OF SNOW IN OUR YARD IN CENTRAL BC SHOULD BEABLE TO TRY THE BAGS OUT IN A MONTH OR SO
Juan Francisco G.
Very nice quality and very easy to install and remove. It thicks every check for me.
Ray P.
Both bags came matched to my bike, they fit and look awesome. Sets the bike off really nicely. Have used them a few times and they are perfect.
Babs2Wheels
It took a lot of thinking and tweaking in order to get it installed with Givi racks and SW Motech top box on BMW F900XR (drop me PM on @Babs2Wheels on IG if interested on how to), but it worked - thanks a lot LoneRider team for all virtual support. Now I need to test them on real journey :)
Tamas M.
Perfect engineering and excellent quality!
DOnald C.
Well
Made and looks great
Vincent C.
Love the bags and the company. Turnkey and a great fit. Need to try them out once the rain stops here in California. May not be as convenient in urban environments for groceries or wine tasting. ;-) But ultimately that's not what they're designed for.
SEUNGKWON K.
Good design and excellent quality.
I love it. Especially, I like folding functionality to reduce the volume.
Aluminum case cannot be like this.
Brian M.
They are easy to load and unload and have a simple locking system.
The material quality is evident.
Brandon P.
I like the bag and the semi-rigid design. I hate the clasp and the ability or inability to line up the holes to lock it. Every once in awhile it works and I can close the bag. Most the time, I just roll it up, buckle it and buckle the straps on top so it won't blow open. Most things about this bag are great but latching it is horrible. Oh, please include directions with your products. It's a difficult guessing game.
Oscar C.
Muy cómodos y prácticos
Glen K.
The bags look awesome and well made with a lot of features hard to find elsewhere.
Jim A.
Versatile high quality look great tons of storage what’s not to like! Easy install out of the box for the GS. Glad I saw the review on Big Rock Moto as I did not know these bags existed. Looking forward to easy packing on our upcoming Moto journeys! Thank you Lone Rider for the excellent products and customer support!
Qassim A.
With these MotoBags no matter how rough and stony Road you’re ride on.
Alejandro G.
I love the bags, they look very good and have very decent space, it took me a while to get to know the folding part and locking it in place under the metal hook to place the lock but once I got it it’s easy now, however I think it needs improvement on that part only and the way the additional pockets attach to the bags and the world tags inside the bag because they’re coming apart , other than that great bags and system
Craig M.
Great equipment would recommend
ChiLung L.
Love the moto bags shape and color!
Michael H.
Whenever I stop somewhere on my rides someone inevitably asks me about my Motobags. The Motobags work very well. I ordered the 31 / 38L combination for my R1250GSA. After a few minor adjustments on the mounting when I first got them they go on and come off in seconds. Had to make the adjustment because I think the GSA pannier frames tolerances are not always that precise. There was a weld on my frame the was a little over welded by BMW and I had to grind it down a bit, a BMW issue, not a Motobag issue.
Perry M.
Congratulations to Lone Rider, Customer service is fantastic, after a small dispute Joseph rang me and sorted out the issue, He went far above and beyond he needed to.
I am very pleased with their products and the after sales service is exceptional.
A big thank you to Joseph, cant believe how good he was.
Oscar M.
Saludos desde el lago de Atitlan Solola, Guatemala. Más que mi complemento Lone Rider lo mejor!!!

Super produit d’une qualité exceptionnelle et un rapport qualité prix top
Aleksandr A.
Everything fitted to the bike straight out of the box. Great quality and easy to install and use. Support is on very high level also. 10/10 would purchase more stuff.
Craig T.
Amazing quality product. Couldn't be happier. They think of everything!! Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro + Outback Motortek Standard Panniers.
Zsolt S.
Probably a fot and life saver bag.
We are 2 ups, recently drove around in Iraq. Traffic is immense. Early in the morning we ride nice and easy in our lane. From the nowhere came a minivan, high speed wanted to use the exit lane just in front of us. He hit us from the rear and side. Actually you could feel how the bags damped the impact, and softened it down. Somehow I managed to keep the bike upright, and stopped safely.
Another occasion happened in Oman, we laid down the bike on a sand dune. My foot under the bag, and wife on the top of everything. My foot was not crushed.( zoom on the picture you can clearly see the impact)
THANK YOU Lone Rider for these excellent products!!
Achraf Z.
Love these! The flexibility and the strength is amazing! We went through the Sahara and the High Atlas off-roading and the ease of the inner bags traveling was amazing!
Ron L.
This review is not just for the Moto Bags, but also the 6L bag, the 30L Duffell, the Water Bottle Holder & the locks!
I am glad I did my homework on which bags I was going to put on my 23 GS1250. Lone Rider products, I'm talking about motor bags and all the other accessories, are by far the most versatile, best built quality products on the market for any dual sport motorcycle.
The thought & engineering of these products shows in the craftsmanship and the ability to attach any of the products to another, with the customization of well thought out straps, molles and loops.
I'm proud to be seen with these attached to my GS and get nothing but compliments on the products. Once you start playing (so to speak) with the bags, both inside & out, then and only then do you realize the long and grueling process that went into them to make them the products they are!!
Thank You Lone Rider!!!
